There are times where I’m still confused about what exactly is or isn’t considered “Paleo” which is silly considering it’s similar to the Keto diet.
So, I wanted to give you a small, very brief overview of what the Paleo diet is or isn’t.
Paleo was really popular a few years ago and for good reason. It allows a person to completely cut out crap foods from their diets as a way to start eating healthy.
What is the Paleo Diet?
The Paleo Diet is where a person shuns all types of grains, processed foods, refined sugar, vegetable oils, legumes, and anything artificial.
You’re focusing on natural foods from nature and from the earth that don’t cause distress to the digestive system.
The ideas behind the Paleo Diet comes from the theory that our DNA make-up has not changed much since the paleolithic era. But, our diets have changed drastically with the advancing of technology and agriculture.
Paleo dieters and researchers argue that we have become susceptible to diet-related diseases because of how we are eating now (1).
Easy way to start:
First, you’d cut out all the processed foods you had been eating.
Then, you’d start eating more of the natural whole foods (meat and veggies and such).
Last, you’d eliminate grains and legumes from your diet.
This allowed people to heal from crazy things they were experiencing and finally start to feel healthy.
