Looking for some keto meal prep ideas and recipes? Well, here’s some awesome keto meal prep recipes you won’t want to miss!!

Meal prepping makes life so much easier. I find that prepping at least two of my meals for each day it helps me if any cravings crop up.

I searched high and low for some super easy keto meal prep recipes (because I need simple with two kids running amuck).

Typically, I keep them written in a notebook or I just use Pinterest.

In any case, if you’re just starting keto, or you’re looking for some easy keto meal prep recipes to try on your keto journey then you’ll love these recipes!

What is Meal Prepping?

Let’s talk about meal prepping first though – keto meal prep style!

Meal prepping is the act of creating meals or prepping foods before you are going to eat them. Sometimes two days ahead of when you’ll eat them.

You can choose whether you want to prep 2 meals per day, 1 meal per day, or even every meal for each day of the week. That is left up to you.

This allows you to have your meals ready to go so you’re less likely to cheat and eat carb-heavy foods or binge eat.

My hope is that these recipes will help inspire you to get in the kitchen and have some easy keto meal prep ideas to get you started. I would start with maybe prepping two recipes to start.

The recipes below each have at least 3 servings (some have more).

Once you know how many servings of each there are you can figure out quickly how many meals you’ll have prepped and ready to go for the week.

If you prep your meals for anything over 3-4 days I would freeze the others. Most foods will only last 3-4 days in the refrigerator before they become questionable. I’d hate for you to get sick because you ate some out of date food.

So, make sure you freeze any meals past 3-4 days of prepping.

If you’re looking for some meal prep containers, be sure to check out these to see if you like any of them. I personally use the Iso Meal Containers.

Update: I no longer use the Iso Meal Containers, but I still use and love their Meal Prep Bag. It’s so amazing for carrying food to work. The storage containers I use are linked below. I’m trying to take an eco route and take plastic out of our home (as much as I can).

If you don’t like using plastic then, never fear, there are also glass meal prep containers! I have and love these right here.

The only thing I don’t like about the glass containers is the fact that they don’t stack as compact as plastic containers. But, that’s it.

We’re making it work though. I love that the glass containers don’t get greasy or hold grease as plastic ones do. So, I’m sacrificing storage space in my RV for the glass containers. I actually am about to buy more of the ones linked above.

Spaghetti squash for spaghetti was amazing, but stuffed spaghetti squash is even better in my opinion.

Of course, I love buffalo chicken so using that as stuffing is divine, in my opinion.

You can find loads of stuffed spaghetti squash on Pinterest these days, but I really like this one.

Here’s a quick and simple stirfry if you’re looking for some easy keto dinners to try and plan for the week.

You can pre spiralize your zucchini and either store in your meal prep containers or a separate container in the fridge. I personally keep things separated unless it’s a two-compartment container.

I don’t want the sauces to make the zoodles soggy before I get to eat it.

7 Ahi Poke Bowl

I could eat this once a day, every day for the rest of my life! I love ahi tuna and I love poke bowls.

There are so many different ways you can make this bowl, but I love keeping it as simple as possible. And this keto meal prep bowl does just that. I love making this as a keto lunch to bring to work.

Since this recipe is enough for 1 bowl, all you would need to do is quadruple the ingredients to make this perfect for the week!

Nutrition for 1 Bowl:

35g Protein | 17g Carbs | 20g Fat | 7g Fiber | 377 Calories

8 Low Carb Meatballs (Italian Style)

Easy peasy keto meatballs! You can use these with either spaghetti squash or zucchini noodles.

I would definitely keep the meat and the veggies separate for this keto meal prep dish. That sauce is bound to wilt lettuce or make veggies soggy!

One good thing about these meatballs is that you can prep a BIG batch (think double or triple) and freeze what you don’t use. They thaw and reheat phenomenal and the taste is still amazing.

9 Low Carb Philly Cheesesteak Bowl

I loved Philly Cheesesteaks before keto, and even now that I am keto it’s still the same. The only difference is I can’t have regular bread.

Consider creating some form of keto bread to put this on and devour it. There are tons of 90-second keto bread recipes on Pinterest right now and if you put it in the right dish you can create a pretty decent size sandwich bread!

If you don’t want bread though, you can totally use some bibb lettuce to put this in. OR eat it right out of the skillet!!

Nutrition for 1 out of 3 Servings:

27g Protein | 5g Carbs | 13g Fat | 1g Fiber | 263 Calories

10 Pizza Stuffed Portobella Mushrooms

Oh.My.Pizza! These little babies are simply delicious!

Just to keep things simple I’d pair this with either some sauteed zucchini or a big ole salad.

Depending on how many sections you have in your meal prep containers you might want to separate the salad from the pizzas.

13.4g Protein | 7.8g Carbs | 18.6g Fat | 1.8g Fiber | 248 Calories

I know I put this post as the last one, but it is probably my favorite post of all. I love that I can toss this in a crock and let it cook during the day and have it ready for supper.

Or, you can batch cook this meal on your meal prep day and have it ready for the week ahead.

Note: since this makes 6 servings you might want to freeze 3 so you can spread it out over the week.

These are so easy to make and so seriously delicious.

The recipe is one that Suzanne includes in her book Simply Keto. She has some amazing recipes in there.

For these, if you’re wanting to make them and store them in containers I would just slide them off the skewer and place them in your meal prep container.

Not only that… you can make this and use it as a keto breakfast recipe too! Pairs well with some sautéed greens in the morning or broccoli.

Nutritional Information for 2 Kabobs:

49.4g Protein | 2.8g Carbs | 22.9g Fat | 0.8g Fiber | 423.8 Calories
