There are so many sweeteners out there on the market geared towards the keto diet. However, I will, hands down, recommend one above them all. This is my honest review of Lakanto Monk Fruit Sweetener.

I’m a big, big hater of stevia… Some folks love that stuff, but I cannot get behind the aftertaste of it. Blech!

And, while there are other things out there that you can try I just couldn’t use those. They never “tasted” like sugar or even good.

I will say that I haven’t tried Allulose yet, but I intend to use it in some goodies.

With that said, I’m not sure when I first tried Lakanto… It’s been almost two years now I guess. Gosh… maybe more and I’m still in love with their sweeteners to this day.

My family has used quite a number of their products and, even though they’re not keto, they have loved each and every they’ve tried so far and that just makes me happy. Mostly because if they like the products then I don’t have to buy separate ones to make things.

My Honest Review of Lakanto

I will shout from the rooftops about my love of Lakanto and I routinely tell each person that asks me that I whole-heartedly suggest Lakanto. I’m a fan of theirs for sure.

So, this definitely will likely be a biased review, but it’s my review of their stuff… so there’s that!

Little disclaimer… I haven’t tried ALL of their products yet. But, I have tried a good bit of them and will be talking about the ones that I have tried in this post.

Are Lakanto Products Keto-Friendly?

Yes… and no. It really depends on your definition I guess.

Are you subtracting sugar alcohols, half of the sugar alcohols or no sugar alcohols… there are 3 options that people will choose from in this aspect and that right there dictates what your definition is.

Some folks will say that some of the products are too high of net carbs, but… I think it depends on how much you eat or what your carb level is each day.

If your carb level is 20g net carbs, then if you’re not eating things in moderation it will potentially cause your carbs to blow. But, if you’re carb level is higher like 30-40g net carbs then you should be good.

Again, this all goes back to eating things in moderation honestly.

For instance, their Chocolate Bark (which is amazing I might add), is either 2g net carbs, 12g net carbs, or 7g net carbs…. the difference is all in what you consider “net carbs.” If you subtract out all the sugar alcohols (which I would if it’s Monk Fruit) then you get 2g net carbs. But, if you’re doing 1/2 the sugar alcohols it’s 7g net carbs, and then 12g net carbs if you don’t subtract them at all.

So, when someone says they’re higher in net carbs, you might want to ask what they’re calling net carbs!
