20 Minute EMOM Bodyweight Workout

Here’s a great beginner bodyweight EMOM (every minute on the minute) workout for you to try.

No weights, no problems!

This workout is designed to use your body weight as the weight and will have you feeling the burn after only a few rounds.

Give this your best shot and don’t worry if you have to drop to your knees to complete this workout.

Beginners Bodyweight Workout

This might seem like it’ll be impossible to finish with having to complete 5 push-ups and 5 squats every single minute, but you can do it.

You’ll get to rest after you complete your set of 5 reps before each new minute. Use this time to let your muscles completely relax before you start using them again in the next set.

20 Min Bodyweight EMOM Workout

Every Minute on the Minute:
5 Push-ups
5 Squats

Warm Up

Warm up for approximately 5 to 10 minutes before this workout.

Make sure you’re specifically warming up your shoulders and your hips since these are the joint areas that will be doing the movements in this workout.

Cool Down

For the cool down, I would walk around your house, gym, or on a treadmill for about 5 minutes to allow your heart rate to come down to a normal tempo.

Don’t just plop down on the ground to rest. You want to make sure your heart rate comes down before you just sit down.
